Boyd Grain is a family operated business in Washington, IN.  Tom Boyd founded the firm that has now evolved into Boyd Grain.     The company farms over 7,000 acres in Daviess County, operates two grain elevators, manages a warehouse, and runs a trucking and brokerage operation.  Although each of the four business entities provide important synergies, they are incorporated and managed separately. 

        Tom has handed over the majority of the farming operation responsibilities to Trent.  The Boyd's grow corn, wheat, popcorn, and double crop beans on over 2,500 owned acres while renting an additional 5,000 acres.  Tom and Trent believe it is essential to keep their equipment current and reliable.  Every year they trade for new combines and update several of their tractors.

About us

Dennis and Jackie Breeden own and operate JT Express. JT Express was started in August of 2003 with 6 trucks. By November of 2004 we had grown to 25 trucks. Today we have 28 trucks owned by or leased to JT Express. We are a Midwest based dry van carrier hauling automotive parts and wood products as well as food grade loads. We also do expedite work for the automotive industry. In February of 2006 we received our brokerage license under the name of JT Express Brokerage Service.

In our dispatch office Bill Breeden and Paul Himsel keep JT's Trucks loaded and running. Accounting is handled by Jackie Breeden & Tracy White.

Darrell Breeden is the company safety director. He handles driver recruiting, training, logbook scanning and all aspects of safety.

Dennis manages the day to day operations and customer relations. Darrell and Dennis both have more than 25 years in the trucking industry.

The Indiana Southern Railroad (reporting mark ISRR) is a short line or Class III railroadoperating in the United States state of Indiana. It began operations in 1992, and was acquired byRailAmerica in 2000. RailAmerica was itself acquired by Genesee & Wyoming in December of 2012. [1]

Indiana Southern Railroad operates 176 miles of track[1] from Indianapolis to Evansville. From Mars Hill (a neighborhood on the southwest side of Indianapolis) southwest through Martinsvilleand Spencer to Bee Hunter in Greene County, the ISRR runs on tracks that once made up the majority of the former Indianapolis & Vincennes Branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad.State Route 67 parallels the ISRR along much of this section.

The railroad's traffic comes mainly from coal and grain products, including corn and soybeans. The ISRR hauled around 70,000 carloads in 2008.[1]It also is supplying coal to the new Edwardsport power plant starting in 2012. There will be around 2 trains per week to supply it.
